lyrics
Now I am forgotten; Can not cause harm to anyone
No one falls into rememberance; No one stays awake at night
Now I am forever gone; To a place unknown
No narrative left to tell; No more pain no more lies
Now I am blessed with eternal peace
Will not flee; Will not run
There‘s no need to fight; There‘s no need to speak
A whole eternity is waiting just for me
So the curse of life is healed
In time thats passing by
No longer part of this disease
I got nothing to fear; Now my place is here
I still look back to my old world
With tears in my eyes I say these words
But I don‘t miss anything; Left erverything behind
Now I am forgotten; Can not cause harm to anyone
No one falls into rememberance; No one stays awake at night
Now I am forever gone; To a place unknown
No narrative left to tell; No more pain no more lies
Uprooted from the real world; Now I am free not to be
With tears in my eyes I say these words
But I don‘t miss anything; Left erverything behind
Uprooted from the real world; Now I am free not to be
Free not to be
The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
US Melodic Black Metal. This may be a debut full length but it is from some highly experienced musicians. The melodies & the vocals are outstanding & I hope to hear more from these guys soon! Recommended! bmurator
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
Extraordinary work by Antrisch, can't stop listening to it although Black Metal usually struggles to convince me.
Same like for Antrisch's EXPEDITION I: Dissonanzgrat applies: This album is strong from its first sounds of creaking wooden hull to its last sounds of wind and waves, deciding for a favourite track would not do justice for the geniality of the remaining five, the one coming closest to a favourite one could be I FESTGEFROREN - Packeisfalle in my opinion. onkelchristoph
