lyrics
Nature, cradle of mankind
I express my will to live
Dawn of existence
I rise up my force
Morning of the life
My instinct to survive
I will rise up my force
I will rise up with my instinct to survive
Birth of the light
I rise up my might
Growing of knowledge
I bring up my mind
Natural laws ever prevail
Never deny, never despise
Natural laws are the all-might
Never refuse, never fight against
Flood of feelings
I rise up my strength
Loss of hope
I will not surrender
Natural laws ever prevail
Never deny, never despise
Natural laws are the all-might
Never refuse, never fight against
The circle has begun
The way is not set
But with certainty I say
That every end is the same
Nothing is forever
Nothing is made for eternity
But the one, the allmighty
Circle of nature

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

US Melodic Black Metal. This may be a debut full length but it is from some highly experienced musicians. The melodies & the vocals are outstanding & I hope to hear more from these guys soon! Recommended! bmurator
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024

Extraordinary work by Antrisch, can't stop listening to it although Black Metal usually struggles to convince me.
Same like for Antrisch's EXPEDITION I: Dissonanzgrat applies: This album is strong from its first sounds of creaking wooden hull to its last sounds of wind and waves, deciding for a favourite track would not do justice for the geniality of the remaining five, the one coming closest to a favourite one could be I FESTGEFROREN - Packeisfalle in my opinion. onkelchristoph
